April 8, 2026 – A research team from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) has developed a material system in the CeraMMAM project that allows high-quality multi-material components to be produced in a single process using a universal binder system. CeraMMAM stands for Ceramic Multi Material Additive Manufacturing.
According to KIT, the technology opens up new perspectives for industrial applications, particularly in medical technology, mechanical engineering, and aerospace. The first industrial prototypes of the system will be presented by KIT during the Hannover Messe from April 20 to 24, 2026.
