Rethink Awards 2023

September 25, 2023 – During the Plastics Fair in Den Bosch on Wednesday, September 20, three winners received the Rethink Award. With the Rethink Awards, the trade associations NRK and Plastics Europe honour companies that work on sustainable and circular rubber and plastic. The prize is awarded every two years.

In the Renewable Raw Materials Category, Carlisle Construction Materials won with an innovative way of attaching, removing and reusing EPDM roofing. The jury thought this was an exceptionally innovative solution that fits seamlessly with the circular economy.

Circular Plastics Factory triumphed in the Chain Collaboration category and was also honoured with the Audience Award. The company received the award for the way in which Circular Plastics Factory helps companies and brand owners with the development of circular products.

In the Circular design category, the first prize went to Evolve from Faerch. Evolve is a new recycling process for PET trays from the PMD (Plastics, Metals and Drinks packaging). The process produces a food-safe granulate that can be used for the production of new PET food packaging.
